Children Age 2-3:

DSCN3005_edited.JPG

The environment and curriculum for children this age are carefully designed for optimal learning and development. Children learn through active, sensory exploration, inquiry and social interactions. This is also a time of rapid growth in foundation skills for future learning, especially in the areas of social/emotional development and problem solving

Teaching and learning with threes is a dynamic and interactive process. Teachers prepare the daily contexts for learning based on the interest of the children. Teachers observe the children carefully and document children’s ideas as they reveal their understanding of the world. From these observations teachers add new materials and learning experiences to the environment to capture children’s interests and scaffold their learning.
