“Fire engine lights.”-Coen, age 4

“A mud center.”- Owen, age 5

                      “A petting zoo.”-Makai, age 5

These are all answers provided by our students when asked what makes a great preschool. And though we may not be able to provide fire engine lights, we have found the perfect location for Discovery Place to build a future full of possibilities!

After 32 years of providing joy, education and care to over 6000 preschoolers, we are delighted to have found a new home at Wichita Center for Performing Arts. The light-drenched classrooms, beautiful outdoor spaces and access to performing arts programs will help us continue to grow a relationship-based community that reflects our deep commitment to children, families and teachers.

...bUT We need your help!

The remodel of the former MarkArts building has begun, and we anticipate moving at the end of May, 2018.

Building our Future Capital Campaign Goal

We set an initial fundraising goal of $350,000 to make the move and pay for renovations to the building. We are proud to report that as of February, 2018 we have raised nearly $150,000 of our goal!

We have been diligently working to reach our goal, but time is running out!

Here is what your generous tax-deductible donation could provide:

Classroom sinks...

to facilitate wonderful, messy art and sensory experiences.

Playground equipment...

to provide exciting outdoor play spaces and connect children to nature.

Classroom materials...

to provoke exploration, investigation and invention in science, technology, math, engineering and literacy.

for Mrs. Arlene to prepare the same classic meals she has made for over 20 years.

Kitchen appliances...

Studio materials...

to inspire and invite creative expression in the visual and performing arts.

Please consider supporting us in “building our future” so that we can continue to serve families in Wichita for years to come.
